Larkin & Lacey Frontera Fund was founded by Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey in the year 1970. They are the founders of Village Voice media in the year 1970 which is used as alternative paper in Arizona.

The company was formed when their charges were dropped by an attorney called Andrew Thomas. After they were released, they decided to sue Thomas, Arpaio and also the prosecutor Dennis. They said that their rights were violated and they thought that the deserved to be paid.In the year 2012, it was ruled out that the cause of their arrest was wrong. That is because there was no actual consultation from the grand jury.

When their case was sorted out into their favor, Larkin and Lacey were given $3.75 as compensation. This payment was later used towards the establishment of Frontera Fund which helped at assisting the Mexican or rather the Hispanic community from Phoenix. The migrants who did not have documents from the USA used to be discriminated a lot, and they used to find it very difficult for them to survive in America, precisely those people who came from the Mexican border.
